JAMES LOCKHART Funeral services were held Wednesday for James Lockhart, 60, who died May 20 at Haven Nursing Home.

Cleo High officiated and J.W. Beachum was eulogist at the service, held at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home in Teague. Viewing was Tuesday, and interment was at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Lockhart was born Oct. 17, 1949 in Coolidge, and worked at Mexia State School, Brown and Root Industries and Frazier and Frazier Industries.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ruby and Mark Lockhart, brother Samuel Lockhart, and sisters Opal Rhodes and Margie Cotton.

Mr. Lockhart is survived by daughters Tanya Newbold, Lancaster, Taunya Lockhart, Mexia, and Cynthia Lockhart, Riverdale, Georgia; a grandson, granddaughters Tamera Newhold, Lancaster, and Jatasia Johnson, Mexia, brother Joe Lockhart and wife, Gloria, Mexia, sisters Della Thomas and Ruby Evans, Mexia, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
