Funeral services were held Saturday at St. James United Methodist Church in Teague for Annie Dillard Carter, 90, who died May 18.
Services were led by Joshua Fields. Eulogist was Roger Hunter.
Viewing was Friday at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home in Teague. Interment was at Antioch Cemetery, also in Teague. After the interment, the family ate lunch at the Carter residence.
Mrs. Carter was born Dec. 15, 1919 and was a native of Teague. She attended Teague public schools and was baptized at St. James United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the church and participated in many of its ministries, and was a soloist in the St. James Choir.

Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her parents Wilson Dillard and Lula Donley; her sons Elray and Earl Dwain Carter, and her daughter Celestine Carter Jones.
Survivors are her son John E. Carter and wife, Katie, Teague; son-in-law Ronald K. Jones, Teague; daughters Joyce Jacob, Houston, and Christine Carter King, Teague, grandchildren Michael Henderson, Sr. and wife, Sherri, Houston, Cassandra Roberts, Houston, Michael Carter, Sr. and wife, Chauncie, Teague, Tamica Carter, Britney Abor, Courtney Williams, all of Teague, and Gidget Cooper, Ft. Worth;
Toki Jones, Kellie Jones, Teague, Sherika Mack and husband, Adrian, Mexia, Cedric Betts and wife, Renita, Mexia, Dyrnny Carter and wife, Cynthia, Teague, Michael Dunbar, Teague, Sheander McDonald and husband, Spencer, Fairfield, Ketra Carter and Jennifer Carter, Dallas, niece Shirley Clarkson, Dallas, special friends Johnny and Lou Pelton, Teague, and a host of other relatives and friends.
