(A summary of recent activity of Fairfield Police Department.)

May 10

1:45 a.m.—Officer Gallegos and Cpl. Green on report of possible drunk driver. Officers unable to locate.

12:25 p.m.—Officers Kindon and Gasaway blocked traffic on west U.S. 84 for utility company to run a cable across the road.

1:36 p.m.—Officer Kindon to traffic jam at Love’s Travel Center.

3 p.m.—Officers Kindon and Gasaway, Sgt. Utsey and several deputies assisted with a funeral escort.

3:59 p.m.—Officer Gasaway to alarm sounding.

5:55 p.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky to East Texas Medical Center emergency room on assault victim.

8:52 p.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky to truck parked in the roadway.

10:32 p.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky on report of dogs barking and possible prowler. Nobody located.

May 11

9 a.m.—Officer Gasaway assisted animal control in locating a dog.

4:09 p.m.—Officer Gasaway assisted a disabled motorist on FM 27.

6:15 p.m.—Officers Matejowsky and Frasier arrested a subject during a traffic stop.

10:30 p.m.—Officers Matejowsky and Frasier conducted a traffic stop where one person was arrested on outstanding warrants and a passenger on a public intoxication charge.

May 12

1:34 p.m.—Officer Markham conducted a civil standby.

4:30 p.m.—Officer Tiner dispatched to Love’s in reference to traffic problems.

7:15 p.m.—Officer Gallegos was dispatched to Cefco convenience store in reference to a civil issue.

10:30 p.m.—Officer Gallegos met with complainants in reference to a theft.

May 13 8:20 a.m.—Officer Markham assisted a subject that needed directions to Palestine.

9:09 a.m.—Officer Markham assisted at the Dogan school in reference to a possible fight.

9 p.m.—Cpl. Green dispatched to Love’s in reference to traffic problems.

May 14

2:30 a.m.—Officers dispatched to Spearman Automotive in reference to suspicious persons. Officer identified subjects and determined that they were employees working late.

5:35 a.m.—Officer Kindon on report of possible house fire. Window air conditioning unit smoking.

9:31 a.m.—Officer Gasaway on report of burglary of residence.

2:18 p.m.—Officer Kindon on report of someone taking an air conditioning unit at a residence.

2:38 p.m.—Officer Gasaway to police department to meet a complainant.

5:50 p.m.—Officers Matejowsky and Frasier and Sgt. Utsey to residence on child problems. All okay.

6:37 p.m.—Officers Matejowsky and Frasier to residence to meet a complainant.

7:15 p.m.—Officers Matejowsky and Frasier to police department to meet a complainant.

9:53 p.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky and Sgt. Utsey to school parking lot on possible disturbance.

May 15

12:15 a.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky on alarm sounding.

1:53 a.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky and Sgt. Utsey on report of wreck on I-45.

4:12 a.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky to truck parked in roadway.

11:45 a.m.—Officer Gasaway on found property.

4:36 p.m.—Officer Gasaway to minor wreck.

7:02 p.m.—Officer Matejowsky and Sgt. Utsey on report of minor wreck in parking lot.

10:37 p.m.—Officers Matejowsky and Frasier and Sgt. Utsey to truck broken down in roadway.

11:15 p.m.—Officer Frasier on report of loud music.

May 16

12:10 a.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky and Sgt. Utsey to Love’s on medical emergency.

3:10 a.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky on report of power pole on fire. Unable to locate.

3 p.m.—Officer Gasaway assisted with locating a missing child.

7:14 p.m.—Officers Matejowsky and Frasier assisted a stranded motorist.
