(A summary of recent activity of Fairfield Police Department.)

May 3

1:20 p.m.—Sgt. Warren met with a subject in reference to missing property.

2 p.m.—Officers assisted with funeral escort.

2:50 p.m.—Officer Gallegos met with complainant in reference to a civil standby.

3:40 p.m.—Cpl. Green arrested subject for outstanding warrants out of municipal court.

5:03 p.m.—Cpl. Green dispatched to Love’s Travel Center in reference to subjects being intoxicated. Officers arrested four subjects on alcohol related charges.

9:58 p.m.—Officer Markham dispatched to McDonald Street in reference to assault/family violence. One subject was arrested on assault charges.

May 4

3:36 a.m.—Officer Markham observed a suspicious vehicle driving from store to store through town. Officer Markham identified subject and found out he was just delivering newspapers.

9:28 a.m.—Officer Gallegos and Cpl. Green assisted animal control with skunk call.

11:50 a.m.—Officer Gallegos and Cpl. Green on verbal altercation. All ended okay.

3:05 p.m.—Cpl. Green to police department to meet a complainant.

5:13 p.m.—Cpl. Green on report of truck broken down in the roadway.

6:19 p.m.—Officer Tiner to McDonald to meet a complainant.

May 5

12:05 a.m.—Officers Tiner and Markham on report of subjects running in front of cars driving down the street. Unable to locate.

3:21 a.m.—Officer Markham on report of subject hearing car door shut on vehicle in driveway. Nobody located.

1:12 p.m.—Officer Kindon arrested a subject for driving on suspended license.

3:10 p.m.—Officer Gasaway to police department to meet a complainant.

6:20 p.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky to police department to meet a complainant.

7:37 p.m.—Officer Frasier to vehicle parked in handicap parking spot.

8:38 p.m.—Officer Frasier on report of heavy smoke in area. Unable to locate any fire.

11:30 p.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky to open gate.

May 6

1:50 a.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation and arrested the driver on city warrants.

2:45 a.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky on report of alarm sounding. All okay. Employee put in wrong code.

7:44 a.m.—Officer Kindon to police department to meet a complainant.

12:30 p.m.—Officer Gasaway to business on theft.

3:45 p.m.—Officer Gasaway to police department to meet a complainant.

7:26 p.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky on report of subjects asking for money at Love’s.

May 7

12:27 a.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky on suspicious subject in park after hours.

2:21 a.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky on minor wreck in parking lot of truck stop.

6:23 a.m.—Officer Tiner dispatched to NAPA Auto Parts in reference to an alarm.

6:38 p.m.—Officer Gallegos met with subject in reference to a control burn that got out of hand.

6:48 p.m.—Sgt. Warren met with complainant in reference to a possible stolen vehicle.

May 8

12:30 a.m.—Sgt. Warren observed a subject lying across the hood of a vehicle. Subject was waiting on a friend to come out of a store.

4:20 a.m.—Officer Gallegos dispatched to Main Street in reference to a 9-1-1 hang-up.

1:55 p.m.—Officer assisted with funeral escort.

2:38 p.m.—Officer Markham dispatched to I- 45 in reference to possible intoxicated driver.

5:05 p.m.—Officer Markham dispatched to U.S. 84 and Keechi Street in reference to a 9-1-1 call about a man trying to stop a vehicle with his vehicle. The complainant was scared. The officer made contact with both subjects and found one to be driving while intoxicated. Subject arrested and jailed.

7:10 p.m.—Officer Gallegos dispatched to Subway restaurant in reference to an unruly customer that had left prior to officer’s arrival.

11:30 P.M.—Officer Gallegos responded to a loud music call on Reunion Street.

May 9

1:10 a.m.—Officers responded to the area of the junior high school in reference to loud music. The music was found to be in the county. Sheriff’s office was notified and took care of the situation.

1:21 p.m.—Officer Markham on report of kids playing in roadway. Unable to locate.

3:30 p.m.—Officers Markham and Tiner assisted with funeral escort.

10:50 p.m.—Officer Gallegos and Cpl. Green on report of loud music. Subject advised to turn volume down.
