The Fairfield high school Lady Eagles start the post season Thursday when they face Hudson in the Class AAA area softball playoff game.

Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.

The Lady Eagles posted a 9-1 record to win the District 20-AAA crown and earn a bye in the bi-district playoff round.

Hudson was the third place team in 18-AAA and won a bi-district doubleheader against Gladewater to advance.
