Graveside services were held Wednesday for Elva Elaine Hawkins McGill, 66, of Mexia, who died April 18 in Mexia. Rev. Rick Gray officiated.

Visitation was Tuesday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.

Mrs. McGill was born December 7, 1943 in Watt, Texas to Marion Owen and Elva Edna (Welch) Hawkins. She was a retired LVN and had worked for a number of hospitals and nursing homes in the area. She was a very devoted and loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Mrs. McGill was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Lee Hawkins.

Survivors are daughters Debra Yvonne Minchew of Mexia, Sherry Dianne Bonner and husband, James E. of Fairfield and Pamela Arlene Larson of Wortham, grandchildren April Yolanda Henderson and Keilana and Robert of Mexia, Deann and Rob Dailey and Malik of Allen, Larry John Bonner of Irving, James Lee Bonner of Fairfield, Chaz Bonner of Fairfield, Matthew Hunter Larson of Wortham and Victoria Danielle Larson of Wortham; brothers, Marion LaVonne Hawkins, Jerry Donald Hawkins and wife, Shirley, Arlie Ray Hawkins and wife, Portia and Tullis Carter Hawkins and wife, Sherry; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Lee Bonner, Larry John Bonner, Matthew Hunter Larson and Charles Wilson Bonner.
