Lots of Fancy Rides (Limo's) and ballroom dresses in the County this weekend. Prom-time, Bigtime. Congratulations to Fairfield's 7th Grade Band, all of whom puffed a little harder, memorized their music and made their instructor very proud of them and their accomplishment….. Oh, guess I'd better tell what that accomplishment was huh? They made straight ONES in their UIL Band Competition. Now, for those of you who know little about school bands (like myself) this means nothing. But, the truth is, they made the highest score possible. A very difficult feat to attain but they did it! So, congratulations 7th Graders, you did a splendid job. Keep it up in coming years. I've known their teacher for years, even 'way back to when she was wearing three-cornered britches…. And I guess….. she's to be congratulated also….So, there it is, Paige! You did good, too!

Until Next Week . . . RALPH BILLINGS
