Relay holding motorcycle rally
Ride for the Cure! motorcycle rodeo is Saturday in Fairfield, and is hosted by Relay for Life, area fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
The event will feature a fun run and skill events, with hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, drinks and more available.
Camping space is available. Bicycle events have been cancelled.
Set from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the motorcycle rodeo will be held at the Moody Reunion Grounds in Fairfield. Fun run registration begins at 8 a.m. with first bike out at 10 a.m. and last bike in at 3 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded for best hand and worst hand.
Bike games will include slow race, barrel push, plank ride, potato run and figure 8 ride. The show and shine bike show will feature touring, cruising, antiques, sport bikes, custom mild and customwild.
A Carter BloodCare blood drive will also be held during the motorcycle rodeo. Call Spain or Bettye Trask at 903-389-3917 for an appointment.
Main event for Relay for Life is the walk/run set May 14 at Fairfield high school's Eagle stadium. A reception is set from 6 to 8 p.m. and is followed by the first lap for survivors, and the second lap for family members and caregivers.
