Scott Korn

Funeral services for Scott Korn, 37, were held Saturday at Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague. Dale McDaniel and Betsy Sweetland officiated. Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague.

Visitation was held Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Korn died Sunday, April 4, 2010, in an automobile accident in rural McLennan county.

He was born in San Antonio and lived in Waxahachie, Kerens, Teague, and for the past several years in Hewitt. He graduated from Teague high school with the class of 1990.

Mr. Korn received his bachelors degree in business from Tarleton State University and was currently working on his Masters degree. He was employed by Brazos Childrens Center as a Certified Occupational Therapist assistant and loved his job and his patients. He served with the 25th Street Head Start, Waco Head Start, and Moody Head Start.

Mr. Korn loved sports, especially following the Texas Longhorns and enjoyed playing fantasy football and managing his league. He loved to travel, especially with his fiancée, and was to be married in Falkenstein Castle in Burnet, Texas, on June 26th of this year.

Mr. Korn is survived by his fiancée Kristen Watts, daughter Laynie Korn, step-daughter Hannah Watts, all of Hewitt, parents Charles and Carolyn Korn of Teague;

Sister Amy Curlett and husband Michael of Teague, niece Makayla Curlett, nephew Logan Curlett, uncles Dean Murray and wife Wilene of Arlington and Larry Murray and wife Sue of Purdon, as well as numerous cousins and many friends.

Mr. Korn was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Cecil Murray, and his paternal grandmother, Virgie Dannelley.
