Wortham Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual barbecue and cake auction on Saturday, May 1, at 6pm.

Tickets are $ 8 for adults and $ 5 for children.

Veterinary services will be available from 9:30 a.m.- noon for pet vaccines and rabies shots.

A live band will play during the event and door prizes are to be given away.
