Funeral services were held Friday at Greenwood Chapel in Fort Worth for Dorothy M. Brown.

Interment was at Greenwood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Brown, 86, passed away on March 29.

She was born October 17, 1923, in Fairfield and after living numerous places, she made her final move to Fort Worth in 1964.

She attended Travis Avenue Baptist Church.

She worked for the Fort Worth Independent School District from 1965 until retiring in 1986. After retiring, Mrs. Brown traveled with her husband and friends all around the U.S.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, H.U. Brown and sisters, Elizabeth Manahan and Velma York.

Survivors include daughter, Jan Blount and husband, Mike; son, Terry W. Brown;

Grandchildren, Kirsten and husband Eric, Gretchen and husband, Nick, William and wife, Katie and Shelly; and three great grandchildren.
