Place for parties opens
STRIKING A POSE as a rock star is Riley Ralston, with mother Amy Ralston who owns Kennedy’s Korner and the recently opened Kennedy’s Klubhouse.
As a natural offshoot of its children’s clothing business, Kennedy’s Korner of Fairfield recently opened Kennedy’s Klubhouse to provide a place for birthday parties.
The party place, next door to the clothing store at 124 S. Keechi Street, was feted with a ribbon cutting last week by the chamber of commerce.
Since opening the Klubhouse in March, owner Amy Ralston reports they have hosted four birthday parties and have three more booked.
“There is only one place to do birthday parties in Fairfield and there needs to be options,” she says.
“Moms do not like to have birthday parties at their homes, and this is an easy fix,” Mrs. Ralston adds.
The party place, decorated in bright colors, provides tables and chairs for their guests, and cleans up the mess afterwards.
A Karaoke machine lets children perform as rock stars, with wigs, sunglasses, dressy shoes and accessories on hand to complete the look.
“We have everything to play dressup,” Mrs. Ralston says.
Geared more to girls, the Klubhouse also has several vintage arcade games set up to appeal to boys.
For party extras, Mrs. Ralston can point party hosts to vendors for sweets, manicures and face painting.
To book a party, parents are asked to call Kennedy’s Korner and order what they need.
Mrs. Ralston has owned Kennedy’s Korner for about four and one-half years and moved the business to the Keechi location 18 months ago.
