Floy Jo Morgan, 76, died Friday, March 19, at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield. Services were held at Griffin-Roughton Chapel Tuesday. Interment followed at Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Morgan was born February 5, 1934 in Rockdale where she lived most of her life. Her parents were Joe and Evelyn Stanislaw.

She married Joe Henry Morgan of Milano on January 8, 1953. They were married for 53 years until his death in 2006. The couple moved from Rockdale to Fairfield in 1970 when he was transferred by his employer IGC, later to become Texas Utilities.

Mrs. Morgan worked for Fairfield Clinic, Fairfield State Bank and First National Bank during her career in Fairfield.

She is survived by daughter Susan Kirgan and husband Lee of Dickinson, son Dr. John D. Morgan and wife Sandy of Palestine, five grandchildren, Angela Vance and husband Clay of Corsicana, Jody Kirgan and wife Jodi Lynn of Montgomery, John D. Morgan, Jr. and fiancee Tanya Johnson of Fairfield, Michael Morgan and wife Rachel of Austin, and Jeremy Green and wife Erin of Waxahachie; brother, Hal D. Stanislaw and wife Willyne of Cameron, and great-grandchildren, Brady and Lindsey Vance of Corsicana and Andrew Green of Waxahachie.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Tucker, Joe Kirgan and John D. Morgan, Jr., all of Fairfield, Michael Morgan of Austin, Jeremy Green of Waxahachie, Casey Stanislaw of Cameron, and Van Close and Ronnie Close of Dallas.
