The Democratic Party holds its Freestone county convention this Saturday at Lone Star Grill in Fairfield.

Attendees are invited to eat lunch at noon, and the meeting starts at 1 p.m.

Planned is election of delegates to the state convention June 24-26 at Corpus Christi.

Freestone county can send five delegates to the state convention.
