Sheriff’s Report Number 480- Deputies Aldrich and McGowan arrest two men on Warrants, Mexia. TPD Reed to reported house break-in on Maple. Hay Roll laying at Rail Crossing, Streetman, Officer Keathley to same. Mister Elom to loose cow report FM-489, local folks assisted with getting her in pasture. TPD Howard to Walnut, vehicle burglarized, several items taken. Loose cows, FM-1366, owner showed up.
Deputy Richard McGowan to report of fiberglass steps stolen from behind a trailer house. Loose cow, Hwy. 179, but with just a little pressure, she hurdled back over the fence, graceful as a gazelle. Another, North 75 at FCR- 140. FEMS and Teague VFD to S. 5th, Lady fell, recently had surgery.
Big Cake Auction at Round Prairie, fund raiser for Youth Group. A good time had by all. Deputy Wade Harrison to Southside Drive, absentee owner just discovered that copper wiring stolen from house, sometime between June of last year and now. Deputy Richard McGowan stops vehicle, FM-27 at FCR-1070, two occupants in same, both arrested for various Limestone County, City of Teague and Fairfield Warrants.
Semi with too tall load hits overpass west of Teague. Fairfield VFD and Oncor to line down, FCR- 945. Car drowns out due to deep water, FCR-901. Deputy Elom to check on four kids, Luna Road, they got home but Mama didn’t…. She showed up pretty quick, had been stranded in a Doctor’s Office, running late. TPD Reed arrests young man on Teague City Warrant. Loose cattle, FCR-510. Bailiff Dusty Brewer to Jail from Courthouse….one in tow for lockup, Contempt of Court-Fail to Pay Child Support.
DPS Sandifer and Dep. House to accident, US-84. Caller advises dog barking on N. Keechi, FPD advised. TPD Martin jails pedestrian on Teague Traffic Warrants. Mexia EMS to N. 5th, Wortham, Lady fears she is having a stroke. TPD Martin to loose cows, Corsicana Street. Donie VFD and THDEMS to West FM-489, Lady reported not breathing, carried to Hospital Mexia, ambulance crew doing CPR. Drums are banging on FCR-1220.
Southern Oaks VFD and FEMS to FM-416, possible broken arm. TPD Scott Sykora arrests drunk man, N. 3rd. Dep. Robert Willis arrests motorist on Felony Oklahoma warrant. Deputies Willis and Aldrich to loud music complaint, FM-27. Lady turns self in at Jail on Warrant for Criminal Trespass. Streetman VFD and FEMS to Lincoln Alley, Lady ailing. Lady heading for hospital in private vehicle….She’s in labor. FEMS to S. Bateman, man feels like he is going to pass out. FPD notified of call advising of two small children left unattended in vehicle at Lone Star Steak House.
Aggravated Robbery at Chevron station in Wortham, cleaned out the cash register drawer at gunpoint, suspect later spotted in Mexia, still in same clothing, weapon believed used still in car, detained by Mexia PD. This was one sharp-eyed Mexia Policeman and I commend his efforts! Good work, indeed. Positive identification made by store clerk. Booked into Jail by WPD Keathley. Deputy House and FPD Tiner working on altercation which stemmed from problems on FCR- 1265. TxDOT notified Tehuacana Creek out of banks, FM-80. Same on FM-489.
FEMS to breathing troubles, FCR-340. Man turns himself in to Dep. Clayton Aldrich to be booked into Jail on 35 day sentence. FPD Tiner arrests man on N. Hall Street, City Traffic Warrant. TPD Reed in with another, Teague City Traffic Warrants. Pit Bull charges toward Lady on Poplar as she is trying to get in her car, TPD Howard to same. TxDOT advised of flooding on Service Road, Mile 205.
Fairfield VFD and FEMS to James Street, Lady fell out of chair. FEMS to S. Bateman, person breathing but not responsive. TPD Cox and Noll to troubles between neighbors on N. 2nd. 911 Call advises of 16 year old out of control, FPD to same. Teague VFD to FM- 1365 in Limestone County, restaurant fire. DPS Sandifer to truck in cable, Mile 192. Complaint of dog whining near Cavalry Baptist for three hours, FPD notified.
TPD Sykora to Washington St., one arrested, Possession of Pot. FPD Frasier arrests motorist on Fairfield Traffic Warrants. Pit Bull Troubles in Donie. FEMS and Butler VFD to Lady ill, FM-489. TPD Cox and Noll to report of Hemale/Shemale Troubles, Kilgore Trailer Park. TPD Sykora assists Lady who locked keys in car at Post Office. WPD to report of missing money on west Trinity.
Deputy Rick Howerton to report of stolen flat-bottom boat and metal grating, Wildwood. Deputy Aultman on complaint of life threat received by phone at Contractor’s Office. To local Elementary School to read to Mrs. Lyle’s class, which I enjoyed ever so much. A well-behaved, good bunch of kids. Deputies to report of starving animals at two different locations, both had hay bales. Wind blowing strong on this day and information reported was that one of these bunches should be found blown over….They weren’t! Not yet, anyway.
FEMS and Butler VFD to East FM-489, Lady limp, incoherent. THDEMS to West 84, Lady dizzy, fell, struck head. FEMS to FCR-532, blood sugar way too low. Mail Box assaulted, North 80. Deputies Willis and Aldrich arrest motorist on west Service Road, multiple warrants. FPD James Green in with another, No insurance and DL suspended since 2007. THDEMS to S. 9th, Lady very ill. Report from Wortham says someone broke into her apartment and stole her Vicodin.
TPD Reed and Cordova to Pine and 7th, someone just bitten by a pit Bull, carried to ER. Dep. Robertson and Game Warden John Thorne to FCR-301, two men hog hunting without permission. Officer Carter to Wood Street, someone has poked holes in Lady’s greenhouse. Tragic call on 911, trailer flooring gave way, two horses went through to pavement, West Service Road, Vet to be called to put them down.
FEMS and Streetman VFD to FM-246, man feared having heart attack. 911 Bounce….Family Troubles on Limestone Co Road 828, call forwarded to that County. Car vandalized overnight, FM-489. TPD Howard to report of apartment window broken out, US-84. Man 911’s from Teague, a police car keeps following him but won’t stop him….,or hasn’t yet…. Well, lad, just take that as a positive sign that your driving must be of excellent quality!
DPS Rickey Jones jails motorist, Warrants out of Ft. Bend County. TPD Reed to Monroe, check feared stolen. Deputy Robert Elom to Dew Truck Stop, 3 magazines and DVD stolen. Deputy Robert Willis deals with dispute over truck. Serious troubles between two ex’s spilled over from Palestine into our County over weekend.
Lots of cows out every week, but getting worse due to greening up. Area Ranchers-Please check your fences and livestock frequently. Our Deputies should not be the primary first line of defense to keep other people’s livestock in…..but for many, they are! This just shouldn’t be. Ours is not the only County afflicted with this problem, every County Sheriff speak to has the same problem. But, honestly, when we look at some of the fencing….or see the same tree still laying over the same fence after two full weeks….Well, you get the point. Until Next Week . . RALPH BILLINGS
