The victim was Gary Lewis, 56, who lived on CR 1092.
He had sustained a gunshot wound to the left temple and was prounced dead at the scene by Peace Justice Shirley Mays, precinct four. JP Mays ruled the death a suicide.
Sheriff Ralph Billings reports that his office received a report Thursday evening that a man was dead of a gunshot wound at the rural residence. The report was made by relatives who went to check on Lewis, the sheriff says.
