(A summary of recent activity of Fairfield Police Department.)

February 22

4:15 a.m.—Officers responded to an alarm at Burger King restaurant that was accidentally triggered.

10:20 a.m.—Officer Tiner served a criminal trespass at the county jail from a location within the city.

11:27 a.m.—Officer Tiner assisted medics with a woman that had fallen and needed assistance getting up.

2:58 p.m.—Officer Tiner dispatched to the I-45 west service road in reference to a motor vehicle accident.

7:10 p.m.—Officer Gallegos dispatched to Freeway Wrecker in reference to a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was stolen out of Anderson county, but was recovered two weeks prior to today.

February 23

2:30 a.m.—Officer Gallegos observed two vehicles parked at the Exxon station on west U.S. 84. One vehicle was abandoned and the driver of the other stated that he was getting an early start due to possible bad weather.

8:12 a.m.—Sgt. Warren and Chief Bulger assisted the fire department at a house possibly on fire at 132 FM 488.

11:05 a.m.—Officer Kindon dispatched to 1100 S. Fairway in reference to a burn ban violation.

11:20 a.m.—Sgt. Warren dispatched to a minor motor vehicle accident at the 197 milepost of I-45.

4:15 p.m.—Officer Kindon dispatched to Church Street bridge in reference to kids playing on a 4-wheeler, pulling other kids on a board. Unable to locate.

February 24

1:15 a.m.—Officer Gallegos dispatched to Love’s Travel Center in reference to a subject who had locked the keys in the vehicle. I-45 Wrecker notified.

6:10 a.m.—Officer Frasier responded to Taco Bell restaurant in reference to an alarm.

7:57 a.m.—Officer Frasier responded to a suspicious vehicle located at Ace Hardware.

7 p.m.—Officer Gasaway served warrants at the sheriff’s office.

8:37 p.m.—Officer Gasaway dispatched to Dollar General in reference to a motor vehicle accident.

February 25

3:20 a.m.—Officer Kindon arrested one subject while on a traffic stop.

6:55 a.m.—Officers Frasier and Markham rounded up some loose cattle on CR 606.

7:55 a.m.—Officer Frasier met with a complainant at Windstream in reference to a theft.

4 p.m.—Officer Frasier to Love’s on traffic problems.

4:30 p.m.—Officer Markham dispatched to Cefco convenience store in reference to a theft.

6:55 p.m.—Officer Kindon dispatched to Heather Street in reference to an open fire inside the city limits, which is prohibited. Subject issued a citation.

8 p.m.—Officer Gasaway out at Love’s with traffic problems.

9:15 p.m.—Officer Kindon met with a complainant in reference to missing property.

February 26

12:20 a.m.—Officer Gasaway at Love’s with traffic problems.

8:10 a.m.—Cpl. Green observed an abandoned vehicle in the roadway on Oak Street. Could not find a driver, so the vehicle was towed due to safety hazard.

1:45 p.m.—Officer Gallegos met with a complainant in reference to criminal mischief.

9:22 p.m.—Officer Tiner met with the manager of Brookshire Brothers supermarket in reference to suspicious people. Officer, at the request of the manager, advised the subjects that they needed to leave the property.

11:01 p.m.—Officer Tiner responded to loud music at James and Bateman streets. Unable to locate.

February 27

12:30 a.m.—Officer Tiner assisted a state trooper with a subject that was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge.

12:25 p.m.—Officer Gallegos and Cpl. Green responded to a possible disturbance on Mount Street.

4:35 p.m.—Officer Gallegos met with a complainant at Ponte’s Diner in reference to possible theft.

9:54 p.m.—Officer Tiner and Sgt. Warren responded to W. FM 27 at Sandra’s Tire in reference to a possible fight. Unable to locate.

10:55 p.m.—Sgt. Warren conducted a traffic stop that led to the arrest of the driver on a DWI charge.

February 28

3:20 a.m.—Officer Tiner assisted the Department of Public Safety on a traffic stop at Dunbar Street.

9:43 a.m.—Officers Gallegos and Green to alarm sounding. All okay.

3:33 p.m.—Officer Gallegos on report of dog growling at kids at the park. Owner asked to secure dog.

4:12 a.m.—Officer Green on report of verbal dispute between husband and wife.

4:53 p.m.—Officers Green and Gallegos on report of major wreck.

6:15 p.m.—Officer Tiner on report of kids riding a 4- wheeler in a neighborhood.

7:56 p.m.—Officer Tiner to police department to meet a complainant.

9:39 p.m.—Officer Tiner on report of alarm sounding.

9:50 p.m.—Officer Tiner on report of loud party. Unable to locate.
