Wortham high school Project Graduation will give away $10,000 in cash in April as a fundraiser to help pay for the drug and alcohol free party set for graduating seniors.

There’s one catch---if all 250 tickets are not sold, the drawing will be cancelled, and the money will be refunded. Each ticket costs $100.

The prizes will be awarded at a dinner set April 24. Each ticket holder must be present to win.

Just before the dinner, all 250 tickets will be drawn, with the money prizes starting at the drawing of the 246th and 247th tickets receiving $250 each, 248th ticket will receive $500, 249th ticket will be presented with a $750 prize, and the 250th ticket holder will receive $8,000. All the losing tickets, anyone who did not win money, will be put back in for a final drawing of $250.

The drawing and dinner will be held at Fairfield VFW Post 5872 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m., and no tickets will be accepted after 7 p.m.

If all 250 tickets are not sold, Project Graduation will cancel the drawing and all money will be refunded.

A ticket is required to attend the dinner, and each ticket will admit one couple.

Starting with the fifth ticket drawn and every fifth ticket drawn after that, a door prize will be given away with a total of 47 door prizes to be awarded.

All money prizes will be awarded on April 24 in the form of a check, made payable to the person who purchased the ticket.

Ticket buyers must be 18 years of age. Project Graduation will not be responsible for lost tickets or misrepresentation of ticket ownership. Only original tickets will be accepted, no copies or duplications.

Two or more people may purchase a ticket, however, only two will be allowed in at the dinner and Project Graduation will not be responsible for how money is divided.
