New Leash on Life supporters encourage Freestone county residents to have a barbecue sandwich and adopt an animal this Saturday, weather permitting.

The adoption day and barbecue sandwich lunch fundraiser will be held this Saturday at Texas Lifestyle Furniture, next to Fairfield Homes and Land.

Adoptions begin at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.
