Retail, office space planned
Construction could start in a few weeks on a new retail and office complex on U.S. 84, Fairfield Towne Crossing.
The project, located due west of the highway department office, is planned by Midlothian developer Chris Calvery.
“Hopefully, this will be a big time project for me,” Calvery says. “It’s going to be first class.”
The developer, who also raises whitetailed deer on his ranch north of Fairfield, explains that he plans to build 6,000 square feet of retail space and 5,000 square feet of office space, with room to expand.
Room is available for three retail and three office buildings.
“I already have a couple of people interested,” Calvery says.
Construction will be brick and stone with the retail space sited in front of the office space.
Calvery says that he has built homes and also a retail-office similar to the one planned in Fairfield.
Construction will take 3-4 months, weather permitting, the developer reports.
