(A summary of recent activity of Fairfield Police Department.)

February 8

5:55 a.m.—Officer Gallegos responded to an open door at a business. Officer Gallegos met with key holder and advised everything was okay.

1:30 p.m.—Officer Gallegos responded to the interstate in reference to a possible motor vehicle that had slid off the roadway due to the weather. Unable to locate.

2 p.m.—Officer Gallegos and Sgt. Warren responded to an alarm on Mount Street. The building was found to be secure.

5 p.m.—Officer Gallegos responded to a verbal dispute. Upon officer’s arrival parties had separated.

9:44 p.m.—Officer Tiner responded to an assault that possibly occurred. Officer Tiner took a report and one subject was issued a criminal trespass from the property.

February 9

2 a.m.—Officer Tiner identifies suspicious person walking on N. Fairway.

4:15 p.m.—Officer Gallegos met with a clerk at a business requesting that a subject be removed from the property.

5 p.m.—Officer Gallegos met with a complainant in reference to missing property.

9:27 p.m.—Officer Tiner responded to an alarm at Valero convenience store. Met with key holders and everything was found to be okay.

February 10

6:40 a.m.—Officer Gasaway responded to a business in reference to an alarm. Officer spoke with manager who stated there was a language barrier with some employees that had gone in the wrong door.

9:30 a.m.—Officer Kindon met with a complainant in reference to missing hay.

3:10 p.m.—Officer Gasaway assisted with a loose dog causing traffic problems. Animal control called to assist.

7:05 p.m.—Officer Frasier dispatched to east city limits in reference to a reckless driver.

10:30 p.m.—Officers Frasier and Markham responded to an alarm at 101 N. Mount. Officers advised building was found to be secure. Key holder notified.

February 11 2:50 a.m.—Officer Frasier responded to a possible disturbance in which one person had been assaulted.

12:45 p.m.—Officer Gasaway assisted with an obstruction in the roadway. Officer and a Good Samaritan removed a gas welding cylinder that had fallen off a welding truck.

4:30 p.m.—Sgt. Warren met with a complainant at the police department in reference to missing medication, and wishing to file a report. Sgt. Warren identified the subject and the subject showed to have an outstanding warrant from Dallas county. Sgt. Warren identified another subject that was with the original complainant, and he too showed to have an outstanding warrant from Fairfield Municipal Court. Sgt. Warren took the report from the original complainant of missing medication then transported both subjects to jail.

7:13 p.m.—Officer Frasier assisted at an accident that occurred in the county. Department of Public Safety was notified.

9:51 p.m.—Officer Frasier, while patrolling, observed what appeared to be an accident on the interstate. Officer investigated what he had observed and assisted one subject that was wedged between the guide cables while still inside a car.

February 12

1:45 a.m.—Officer Frasier assisted a motorist that had slid off the roadway due to weather conditions.

7:35 a.m.—Officer Tiner responded to an alarm at Texas Burger. Officer spoke with responsible party and everything was okay.

9:05 a.m.—Officer Tiner assisted DPS at a motor vehicle collision.

10:55 p.m.—Officer Gallegos and Sgt. Warren responded to Pizza Hut in reference to an alarm. Everything was found to be okay. Employees going home for the night.

11:40 p.m.—Sgt. Warren observed a vehicle parked at the rear of LaQuinta Inn’s parking lot with its doors open. Investigated and found subject to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Subject arrested on possession charges.

February 13

8:25 a.m.—Officer Tiner assisted with locating a possible stolen vehicle headed toward Fairfield.

11:40 a.m.—Officer Tiner met with a complainant in reference to a terroristic threat.

1 p.m.—Officer Tiner took a report of criminal mischief, a broken windshield.

9:10 p.m.—Officer Gallegos assisted a stranded motorist on the west service road of I-45 at U.S. 84.

February 14

12:15 a.m.—Sgt. Warren, while patrolling in the 300 block of S. Bateman Road, observed a subject having difficulty walking down the road, much less on the road. The subject was highly intoxicated and was in much need of assistance. Subject arrested on a public intoxication charge.

3 a.m.—Officer Gallegos responded to the Budget Inn in reference to a welfare check. Officer spoke with subject in question and everything was fine.

10:25 a.m.—Officer Tiner and Sgt. Warren assisted Fairfield EMS on a medical call.

2:15 p.m.—Officer Tiner assisted Teague EMS en route to the hospital.

4:45 p.m.—Officer Tiner met with a subject at the police department in reference to a terroristic threat.

7:18 p.m.—Officer Gallegos assisted DPS trooper on a stolen vehicle.

8:50 p.m.—Officer Gallegos assisted Fairfield EMS with a medical emergency.

9:20 p.m.—Officer Gallegos on report of disturbance. All was okay.

11:35 p.m.—Officer Gallegos assisted Fairfield EMS on a medical emergency.
