Funeral services were held Friday for Shawn Elizabeth LaVergne, 47, of Fairfield, who died Feb. 1. Pastor Ken Pruitt officiated at the service, held at First Baptist Church of Fairfield.

Mrs. LaVergne was born December 19, 1962 in Battle Creek, Michigan to John Coffing and LaJune Highley Coffing.

She is survived by husband Linus J. LaVergne, Jr of Fairfield, son L.J. LaVergne III of Fairfield, daughter Jessica R. LaVergne of Fairfield, parents John and LaJune Coffing of Battle Creek Michigan, and brother Timothy M. Coffing of Battle Creek, Michigan.

Visitation was Thursday, Feb. 4. Pallbearers were L.J. LaVergne III, Timothy Coffing, Willie Ward, Nathan Rikard, John Bailey, Tommy Martin, Ken Penner and Eddie Acord.
