Sheriff’s Report Number 474- Deputy Robert Elom to FCR-431, two cast iron woodstoves stolen from Deer camp. Dog problems, FCR- 430. Anderson County S.O. advised of loose cattle, US-79 at Hwy. 294. Game Warden John Thorne to Richland Chambers, man and woman stranded in a pontoon boat between the lighthouse and the dam.
Dep. Richard McGowan to FM-489, cow in middle of creek bridge. Deputies Shaw and McGowan to FM-416, someone bleeding from wound on hands. THDEMS to Poplar, 80 year old Lady has fallen. FEMS and Butler VFD to East FM-489, chest pains. FPD notified of irate customer at Burger King. TPD Reed to possible domestic troubles on Cleo. Navarro County advised of loose cow, FM-416. FEMS and Kirvin VFD to Kirvin, possible broken elbow. THDEMS and Fairfield VFD to FCR-502, possible appendicitis attack.
Call comes in on grassfire, FM-39 at Hwy. 164, Limestone Co. S.O. advised. Mr. Elom on dog chasing chickens problem…..He kennelized the problem…..And that’s a bunch better than euthanized! Deputy Shipley to visit with young man who was identified by caller ID as having made a few obscene calls….This little talk took place in the presence of his mother…..Maybe between the little talk and Mom now knowing about it all…..Well, hopefully our Little Man will get back on a straight and narrow path with no more shenanigans. And, I’ll be willing to bet that Mom will see to it on her end, too!
911 from Jewett, boyfriend out cold, RV Park, he’s a diabetic, transferred to Leon County S.O. Dep. Wade Harrison to overnight theft of 60 gallons of diesel. Also to DePaul on mental transport. 911 call from Ave. C in Wortham, man feared to have suffered another stroke, Wortham VFD to High School Football Field to assist with Landing Zone for Doctor Chopper, Mexia EMS working on the man, CPR in progress.
Lady on FCR-1235 hears noises from roof, thinks a helicopter landing again on same. Teague VFD to Intermediate School, transformer blew, TPD Sykora to same, smoke in foyer. THDEMS to Washington, chest pains. FEMS and Butler VFD to FCR-300, someone passed out, pain in stomach. Butler VFD also to FCR-360, BBQ Pit on fire…..Holy Cow, folks, that IS an emergency! Southern Oaks VFD to wreck believed to be on FM-416, Lady driver disoriented, could not give exact location.
DPS Putz arrests speeder on Corsicana Speeding Warrant. Butler and Dew VFD’s to grass and structure fire, FM-489. Party on front porch of house beating on door, cussing loud, Chestnut Street, TPD Cordova and Howard to same.

Oilfield tank afire, South 75, company advised just let it burn until out. Loose donkey, FM-833. DPS Putz jails US-79 speeder, Open Container.
Deputies Aldrich and McGowan stop vehicle, FM- 27 and FCR-1070, female passenger arrested, five baggies of Meth in her purse. A dozen wild turkeys becoming nuisances north of Fairfield, become aggressive when owners go outside and go on the attack. As caller was on phone, one jumped up on the window and started pecking on same. Sounds like those wild turkeys have been taking a few nips from bottle labeled Wild Turkey!
DPS Purnell jails man, Mile 208, Driving While License Suspended. Bailiff Dusty Brewer brings Lady from Court to Jail, Forgery. FPD Tiner stops motorist with unpaid Warrants, to Jail. WPD Keathley in with another, same problem, Wortham. Dep. Barrentine jails man on charge of Burglary. 911 Call from Oakwood advises Super Pantry just robbed at gunpoint by male in black sweater, jeans and pink surgical gloves, broadcast for all surrounding Counties.
Oakwood and Butler VFD’s to car afire, US-79. TPD Travis Martin arrests two in car at DQ in Teague, both drunk. TPD to Domestic Problems on Barbara Drive. FEMS to PR-502, power outage causing troubles with metered oxygen supply. And this power problem caused by accident in Fairfield, car clipped pole, power line down. Lady advises on cell phone of fire in attic on County Road 879, Teague VFD dispatched but quickly found we don’t have a road in our County with that number, Lady re-contacted…..her house is in Limestone County! Help from correct County sent her way….This emphasizes what I spoke of a few weeks back…..If at all possible, make 911 Calls from a land-line telephone….with a cell some calls skip out of your County. When this transpires you lose precious minutes in response time.
Teague and Donie VFD’s to house on fire, FCR-751. Fairfield VFD to car on fire, Mile 197. Deputies McGowan and House to report of two men asleep in ditch, FCR- 901. Both very drunk, within just a minute, both very arrested! Teague VFD and THDEMS to possible heart attack, West 84. Deputy Robert Elom to report of dog shot with birdshot. FEMS and Streetman VFD to possible stroke, FCR-301. Deputy Harrison receives complaint from man on FM-833, his Ex- Girlfriend has called him over 200 times! Deputy Aultman to Dew, brick wall of truck stop sledgehammered, burglarized.
Deputy Shipley to Donie, three feed trailers broken into after locks cut, feed stolen. FPD to Family Problems on Ray Street. FPD Tiner arrests Lady motorist on James Street, outstanding warrants. Deputies to FM-489,Family Troubles, Butler area. Suicide threatened, Teague. Kids reported on roof of Teague Junior High, TPD to same. Man turns self in at Jail to start serving his Court Ordered Jail Time.
Co. Commissioner Clyde Ridge advised of tree down, FCR-1051. Butler VFD and FEMS to East 84, Lady just accidentally gave son wrong dose of Insulin.
