(A summary of recent activity of Fairfield Police Department.)

January 25

4:50 a.m.—Officer Markham responded to Johnson Street in reference to a 9-1-1 hang-up call. Officer Markham made contact with owner and everything was okay, just telephone problems.

1 p.m.—Sgt. Warren filed criminal cases with county attorney’s office.

6:10 p.m.—Officer Gallegos responded to Norwesco on a false alarm.

January 26

1:50 a.m.—Officer Gallegos responded to a minor motor vehicle accident where a vehicle struck a telephone pole.

4:30 a.m.—Officer Gallegos responded to an alarm at Lone Star Grill. Met with owner and was advised it was just the cleaning crew. Everything okay.

8:30 a.m.—Officer Tiner, while on a traffic stop, arrested one subject that had outstanding warrants with the City of Fairfield.

1:15 p.m.—Officer Tiner at Love’s Travel Center due to traffic problems.

3:40 p.m.—Officer Tiner, while on a traffic stop, arrested one subject that had five outstanding warrants with the City of Fairfield.

8 p.m.—Officer Gallegos assisted sheriff’s department with a disabled vehicle.

January 27

8:10 a.m.—Officer Markham met a complainant at the police department in reference to missing property.

11:20 a.m.—Officer Markham arrested a subject that had outstanding warrants out of the City of Fairfield.

2:27 p.m.—Officer Frasier met with a subject at the police department in reference to a passenger that was possibly having mental problems. Subject advised officer that the police were not needed at this time.

7:30 p.m.—0fficer Gasaway responded to an alarm at NAPA Auto Parts. It was a loose cat inside business that set off the alarm.

January 28

12:55 a.m.—Officer Kindon observed an open gate at I.E. Miller. The key holder was contacted.

9 a.m.—Officer Frasier assisted a disabled motorist on the I-45 west service road.

9:35 a.m.—Officer Markham served a criminal trespass warning prohibiting a subject from returning to a certain property within the city.

6:40 p.m.—Officer Kindon dispatched to Love’s in reference to traffic problems.

January 29

3 a.m.—Officers assisted with a stranded motorist on the I-45 east service road.

3:16 a.m.—Officers responded to 333 Williford Street in reference to a 9-1- 1 call. Officers advised that this was weather related after speaking with the resident.

3 p.m.—Officer Gallegos dispatched to CR 606 in reference to loose livestock. Officer Gallegos and a Good Samaritan rounded up the livestock and put them back in the pasture.

3:45 p.m.—Officer Gallegos responded to a welfare check on Travis Street.

10:40 p.m.—Officer Tiner assisted a stranded motorist that could not stay on the roadway due to weather conditions.

January 30

2:54 a.m.—Officer Tiner, while on a traffic stop, arrested a subject on outstanding warrants.

8 a.m.—Officer Gallegos dispatched to Ray Street in reference to a possible disturbance. Officer advised that this was only verbal and parties separated for the evening.

7:40 p.m.—Sgt. Warren observed a vehicle abandoned in the roadway facing the wrong direction at a stop sign. Due to safety issues, the vehicle was towed.

8:20 p.m.—Officer Tiner assisted with a medical call on Post Oak Road.

January 31

12:45 a.m.—A power outage reported on the east side of town due to a motor vehicle accident about five miles out of town.

1:40 a.m.—Sgt. Warren observed in the 600 block of E. Commerce Street a motor vehicle accident. This accident broke a telephone pole in half, causing power lines to fall into the roadway. One subject arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge.

4:50 p.m.—Officer Tiner assisted Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department with a vehicle that was on fire.

1:45 p.m.—Officer Gallegos assisted Fairfield EMS with a medical call.

3:35 p.m.—Officer Gallegos was dispatched to the interstate in reference to dogs playing between cars.

6:30 p.m.—Officer Tiner arrested subject on city warrants.
