Assault at fair presented

In grand jury session . . .

A Teague man arrested in connection with a stabbing in Fairfield during the 2009 Freestone County Fair was indicted last week on a felony aggravated assault charge.

The indictment against Adrian Inderman, 52, was returned last Wednesday at the regular monthly grand jury session.

Inderman is charged in connection with a June 15 assault of Michael Crockett of Fairfield that occurred at W.L. Moody Reunion Grounds.

About 80 people were in the area of the assault at the horseshoe pitching competition during the county fair.

Crockett sustained knife wounds to the face and chest.

The grand jury heard evidence on charges of aggravated assault, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, attempted burglary, evading arrest, possession of a controlled substance and burglary.

Also indicted were:

—Randall Page Moore, 51, of Dallas on a Nov. 12 charge of manufacture or delivery of methamphetamine. Moore pleaded guilty to the charge immediately and has been assessed seven years of probation, or a 5-year prison term, $1,500 fine and $436 court costs, and has been ordered to make $140 restitution.

—Peggy Darlene Scott, 36, of Athens on a complaint of manufacture or delivery of methamphetamine on Nov. 12. The indictment shows two prior felony drug convictions.

—Felipe Angel Gaitan III, 30, of Fairfield on a Nov. 30 complaint of attempted burglary of a habitation, allegedly breaking a window at the home of Tom Ed Anderson.

—Joseph Dean Neighbors, 21, of Wortham on a charge of aggravated assault, allegedly striking Chris Neighbors on the leg with a pipe, on Nov. 26.

—Timothy Wayne Edwards, 37, of Fairfield on a Dec. 3 charge of manufacture or delivery of cocaine.

—Letina Sims, 29, of Teague on a complaint of evading arrest or detention, allegedly fleeing in a motor vehicle from a law enforcement officer on Nov. 28.

—Denny Dolberry, 25, of Teague on an Aug. 3 charge of possession of methamphetamine.

—Juan Capuchino Villapando, 19, of Fairfield on a complaint of burglary of a building, entering a building without consent of Jeffery Spearman, on Jan. 12.

—Eric Lamont Carter, 35, of Fairfield on a charge of manufacture or delivery of cocaine on Jan. 16.

—Della Ruth Henry, 48, of Fairfield on an Oct. 30 charge of possession of cocaine.

Four indictments remain sealed pending arrest of defendants.
