Funeral services were held Monday at Capps Memorial Chapel for Garry Lee Thorn, 65, of Fairfield, who died Jan. 21 in Fairfield. Eston (Buddy) Turner officiated, and a private interment followed.

Mr. Thorn was born October 24, 1944 in Fairfield, Iowa to parents Cleveland and Oda M. Harris Thorn. He was retired from I-45 Wrecker Service and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife Ann of Fairfield, son Cleve Thorn and daughter Sonya Lopez, both of San Marcos, daughter Margaret Ann Thorn of Fairfield, brother Bill Thorn of Waco, sister Ruth Ibendahl of Seagoville and five grandchildren.
