Health kits aid Haitians
Health kits to aid earthquake victims in Haiti are being collected through Jan. 31 at First United Methodist Church of Fairfield and EAOC Community Center in Teague.
The community center is located at 110 N. Fourth Ave and the church is located at 201 N. Mount.
Health kits provide necessities to people who have been forced to leave their homes because of human conflict or natural disaster. All items must be new.
Donors are asked to place items inside a sealed 1-gallon plastic bag.
Items include a hand towel, wash cloth, nail file or fingernail clipper, bath size bar of soap, regular size toothbrush, large tube of toothpaste and six adhesive plastic strip bandages.
In a separate envelope, send a check for $1 for each kit to help with the costs of processing and shipping.
Do not include any religious, political or patriotic notes or emblems in any of the kits.
