SHARON GIBSON I would like the opportunity to serve the residents of Freestone County by announcing my candidacy in the Democratic Primary election for the office of County Clerk.

I am married to Danny Gibson and we have a daughter, Makayla Gibson.

My professional experience includes over 15 years of management and customer service experience in the retail banking industry.

I attended the University of Houston where I obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance as well as a Human Resources Management Certificate from Houston Community College.

As a manager, I was responsible for turning around under-performing banking centers, streamlining operational processes, budget administration and increasing customer satisfaction.

Currently, I am working as an independent Performance Improvement Consultant where I am member of a Global Learning team that is responsible for facilitating software upgrade training to over 6,000 employees.

The Freestone County Clerk’s office is involved with some of the most important aspects of your life, including recording vital statistics, issuing marriage licenses, deeds, wills, probates and administering county and state elections.

My strong leadership and managerial skills will ensure that all the responsibilities of this office are carried out accurately and efficiently.

I will enhance team productivity and morale, which will result in a decrease in the employee turnover rate and save the county valuable tax dollars.

As your county clerk, my priorities include quality customer service, streamlining public access to vital records and utilizing technology to progressively lead the Freestone County Clerk’s office into the 21st century.
