FJHS honors history teacher
ROBERT SHIPLEY
Teacher of the month at Fairfield junior high school is American history instructor Robert Shipley.
In his sixth year at FJHS, Shipley substituted at Fairfield high school for two years prior to becoming a junior high staff member. He has also taught Academic Enhancement.
Shipley and his wife Vicki have been married more than 35 years; they have two sons and two daughters, and one granddaughter. Pastor at Stewards Mill Church, Shipley and his wife also oversee Glory Ministries in Fairfield.
Shipley says, “I believe once students, and anyone else, see how much you care they become teachable. Once they become teachable, they can become all they were intended to be.”
