Clothing store opens
R&B APPAREL OWNER Bernard McGee returned home to Fairfield after years in the Dallas area and opened a business last month.
Clothing and accessories for a variety of tastes are offered at a new shop in Fairfield.
R&B Apparel opened recently next to Rob's Food Store on highway 84, and is owned by Bernard McGee.
McGee, 40, is a 1988 graduate of Fairfield high school, and has been employed as manager of LA Fitness in Keller.
He returned to Fairfield to take care of some family matters, and says he decided to stay. "I like the slower pace," he says.
With help from his brother and a friend, McGee opened R&B because he says Fairfield doesn't have much in the way of clothing stores that offer a wide variety of styles. "People here have to go out of town to shop," he adds.
With a love of sales, and the desire to do something on his own, McGee says he saw the opportunity, and says, "I'm going to try it out."
In sizes for junior high school aged students through adults, R&B has clothing and accessories for men and women, including dress shirts, casual wear, pajamas, jeans, hats, purses, colognes, and some western wear, as well as NFL and college jerseys and caps.
McGee says the store offers good quality styles while keeping the prices affordable. He is adding larger sizes, and has inventory coming in every day.
"I want to cater to a little bit of everybody," he says.
The store is open Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
