Funeral services were held Wednesday for Gary Lynn “Dobber” Pierce, 66, of Corsicana, who died Dec. 27 in Fairfield.

Visitation was Tuesday, and services were Wednesday at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alfred Smirl officiating. Interment followed at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brian Goodwin, Matt Spivey, Brad Gannon, Ralph Lane, Joe Page and Brad Hendrick.

Mr. Pierce was born October 12, 1943 to Francis and Reuben Pierce in Corsicana.

He was a longtime resident of Corsicana and was an avid hunting and fishing enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Francis and Don Allen; father Reuben Pierce, and brother, David Pierce.

He is survived by his wife, Nona Gail Pierce, sons, Bryan Pierce and wife Djuana, and Jay Pierce and wife Dana; grandchildren, Coy, Jenna, Peyton, Jace Tanner and Eli; and brother, Charles Johnson. An online guest book is available at www.corleyfuneralhome. com.
