Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 26 at 1 p.m. at Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church for Lela Bell Hudson Cooper, 64, who died Dec. 17 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana. Rev. A.L. Thibodeaux and Rev. Carlos Daniels will officiate at the service.

Interment will be at Fairfield Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Cooper was born June 29, 1945. She met Joe Frank Cooper of Fairfield 28 years ago. They had two children. She was retired from K-Mart Inc. of Corsicana and was currently employed by Cen-Tex ARC, also of Corsicana.

At Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church, Mrs. Cooper served on the usher board, pastor’s love committee, church secretary and church membership secretary. Her parents, husband and three sisters, one brother and one grandson preceded her in death.

Survivors are son Michael Hudson and wife, Yolanda, Fairfield, daughter Carla Hudson, Fairfield, brothers Joe Willie Thomas, Mesquite, Bobby Ray Hudson and wife, Elaine, of Hutchins, Robert Hudson, Sacramento, Jonas Eldridge and wife, Sara, Tucson, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren;

Sister-in-law Mary Hatcher and husband, Jimmy, Fairfield, brotherin law Bobby Cooper and wife, Kay, Fairfield, and very special friend Doris Hunter, Fairfield.
