BARBARA GILBERT
Kenneth Randle of Granbury and formerly of Fairfield passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the age of 58. Funeral services were held Saturday in the chapel at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Jerry Locke officiated. Burial followed at Woodland Cemetery in Kirvin.
Mr. Randle was born in Houston to Harvey and Pearl Hart Randle on August 1, 1951. He worked for Houston Power and Light at the plant in Jewett for a number of years.
Survivors are his children Chris Randle and wife Lisa of Cibolo, and Carin Randle of Fort Worth; grandchildren Mark Higham, Hailey Randle, and Chloe Randle, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dan Wallrath, Jereme Wallrath, Aaron Wallrath, and Lee Kirgan.
Memorial book is available. Arrangements were made by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Fairfield.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Gilbert, 74, were held Wednesday, December 23, at First Baptist Church in Teague. Bro Darrel Beggs officiated. Interment followed the services at Cotton Gin Cemetery.
Mrs. Gilbert passed away on Monday, December 21, at her residence near Teague.
She was born in Navarro County to Roy and Thelma Goode on June 23, 1935. She graduated from Corsicana High School and moved to Dallas to go to work where she met her husband, Earl. They married on August 21, 1954 and shared more than 55 years together.
Mrs. Gilbert loved to take trail rides in their covered wagon and rode many long trips through several states including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Arizona, and even into Mexico. They moved to Freestone county near Teague in 1971 and she dedicated herself to being a homemaker for her family.
Mrs. Gilbert enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking cookies, and really enjoyed making garage sale rounds. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Teague.
Survivors are her husband, Earl Gilbert, Sr. of Teague, sons Earl (Eddie) Gilbert, Jr. and wife Delores of Teague and Gary Gilbert and wife Kathy of Monticello, Indiana;
Grandchildren Stacy Gomez and husband Jesus of Teague, Earl (Bubba) Gilbert, III and wife Janay of Colmesneil, Erick Gilbert and wife Kayla of Fairfield, Tim Gilbert, Holly Gilbert, and Abby Gilbert, all of Monticello, Indiana;
Ten great-grandchildren, three sisters Naomi Johnston of Kerens, Martha Holditch and husband Buck of Red Oak, and Wanza Ray of Wylie; brother Alton Ray and wife Shirley of Waco, two aunts, one uncle, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents who raised her, Lloyd & Ethel Goode; and one sister, Mrtyle Bass.
