Arrests open 2 indictments
Two men indicted Dec. 1 by the Freestone county grand jury on felony criminal charges were processed through the county jail last week.
Indictments returned against the two were opened after their arrests.
Charged with criminally negligent homicide is Ocie Ramon High, 23, of Teague.
The charge stems from an April 17 wreck on U.S. 84 east of Fairfield that involved three vehicles.
High allegedly was passing vehicles in a no passing zone and struck a vehicle driven by Jorge Maldonado, 41, of Waco head-on.
Charged with possession or promotion of child pornography is Joshua Dewayne Pond of Streetman.
The indictment alleges Pond was in possession of visual material of a child under the age of 18 engaging in sexual activity.
High and Pond are free of jail on bonds of $10,000 each.
