CAROL FREEMAN
Funeral services for Mrs. Carol Freeman, 72, were held December 12 at 8th Ave. Baptist Church in Teague. Bro. Steve Cowart and Bro. Paul Pryor officiated. Interment followed the services at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague.
Carol Ann Kitchner Freeman of Teague passed away on December 9 at Providence Hospital in Waco. She was born in Teague on August 30, 1937 to Mac and Louise Hallum Kitchner. She grew up in Teague and was in the THS graduating class of 1954.
She married J.B. “Buck” Freeman on July 10, 1955. She attended Eighth Avenue Baptist Church. She was a daughter, wife, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a successful business woman as she began “Carol’s Answering Service” in 1978 with only one customer. Thirty-one years later she has customers from the north coast to the west coast.
Survivors are her husband of 54 years Buck Freeman of Teague; daughters, Lou Ann Pryor and husband Paul of Freestone, Susan Jennings and husband Mike of Eureka, and Patti Martin of Teague; grandchildren, Christopher Corley of Teague, Lee Pryor of Freestone, Jessica Shamburger and husband Cory of Teague, Jeremy Pryor of Freestone, Kasi Martin of Fairfield and Kortni Martin of Teague; great-grandchildren Cade and Hayden Corley; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, one special dog “Toy” and many special friends.
Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her father Mac Kitchner, mother Louise Hallum Kitchner and older brother Robert M. Kitchner.
