Group sees “Rockettes”
FSB Travelers from Fairfield and surrounding areas made a trip to Grand Prairie over the weekend to see a performance by the Radio City Rockettes.
The travel group chartered a bus and made their first stop in Cedar Hill for lunch at Babe’s Chicken Dinner House.
After lunch, the bus took the tour group to Grand Prairie for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes. Santa Claus narrated the show, and the Rockettes performed a variety of holiday routines, including the “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers”.
The show ended with living nativity.
The travelers making the trip were Helen Oakes and Charlsie Stirton from Donie; Kim Born from Arlington; Melinda Black, Barbara Bonner, Jean Born, Dani German, Anniece Moody, Paige Posey, Dell Terry, Katie Wade and Paula Wade from Fairfield;
Ann Alewine, Annette Brannan, Dan and Linda Collins, Jack and Sue Leach, Joe and Mary Belle Leach, all from Groesbeck; Peggy Champion, Donald and deLou Corbitt from Mexia; Dedin Corbitt from Denton; Frankie Carter from Wortham; Christine Kelly from Kosse; and Michelle Gonzales and Pam Hancock from Teague.
FSB Travelers is a travel group whose members are customers of The Farmers State Bank with branches in Groesbeck, Thornton, Wortham, Mexia, Fairfield, Kosse, and Jewett.
Travel coordinator is Jerri McBay from Fairfield.
The extended trip with Collette Vacations in 2010 will be a spring tour of Georgia and South Carolina April 10-16. The calendar of day trips for 2010 has not yet been published.
