Annual Christmas gathering at Stewards Mill Harmony Community Church is set for 6 p.m. Saturday.

The church is located on FM 2547 near its intersection with FM 833 north of Fairfield.

Stewards Mill Church is a 133-yearold, white frame building that conducts non denominational services at 8 a.m. each Sunday.

For the Christmas gathering, the church is lighted with kerosene lamps and heat is provided by a pair of wood burning stoves.

Church members and area residents have decorated the building with handmade sprays of native cedar hung beneath the lamps and a cedar Christmas tree.

The tree bears ornaments made by Stewards Mill children over the years.

For the Christmas gathering, those attending will sing carols, hear a reading of the Christmas story and visit. Santa Claus also makes an annual visit.

Anyone planning to attend is asked to bring finger foods. Soft drinks and water are provided.
