Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy Swindell, 76, were held Wednesday, December 9, at Union Cemetery Chapel near Freestone. Bro. Steve Cowart officiated. Interment followed at Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Swindell passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009, in Rusk.

She was born in Freestone County to Alvis A. and Addie Beene Baty. She married Harold W. Swindell on October 9, 1971 and shared more than 34 years together until being separated by his death in 2006. Mrs. Swindell was a Baptist.

She is survived by one brother, Kenneth Baty of Cleveland, TX and numerous nieces and cousins.
