Brian Sipes-Tanner

Memorial services were held Tuesday for Brian Edward Sipes-Tanner, 29, at First Baptist Church in Dawson. Les Montoya officiated.

Graveside services followed the memorial at Birdston Cemetery in Streetman.

Mr. Sipes-Tanner was born in Hobbs, N.M. and moved to Fairfield where he grew up and attended school. He was a construction worker and worked on numerous projects across the state. A hard worker, Mr. Sipes-Tanner was known for tinkering with electronics and making time to help those in need.

Survivors are his parents Thelma and William Sipes of Teague, sisters Kimberly DuBose and husband Lance of Dawson, Geneva Ward and husband Daniel of Temple;

Regina Floyd and husband Danny of Lepanto, Ark., Denice Joplin of Teague, Jessica Latham of Kirvin and Stephanie Quiroz of New Orleans, La.;

Grandparents Ralph Hazen of Fairfield, and DeLane and Diane Joplin of Eastland, great-grandmother Thelma Fisher of Waco, nieces and nephews Lane DuBose, Bailey DuBose, Andrew Sipes, Megan Ward, Bradley Sipes and LaKeashia Sipes;

Father Edward L. Tanner and wife Becky of Whitney, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mr. Sipes-Tanner was preceded in death by his grandmother Judith Hazen and aunt Rita Joplin.
