Fairfield police make drug bust
A raid by Fairfield police and the Department of Public Safety last week at a residence in Fairfield resulted in an arrest on drug charges and seizure of suspected illegal drugs.
The operation was carried out about 2:05 p.m. Thursday as a joint effort of Fairfield Police Department and the DPS Criminal Investigation Division.
Arrested on a charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance was Timothy Wayne Edwards, 37.
Officers executed a search warrant at 311 Renee Street where Edwards was arrested.
Suspected drugs siezed were 4.4 grams of crack cocaine, 5.8 grams of powdered cocaine and 1.7 grams of marijuana.
Officers also confiscated a set of scales and $720 in cash.
The raid took place as part of a continuing investigation by Fairfield police.
