Funeral services for Howard Ray "Doc" Steward, 53, were held on Monday, November 9, at 1:00p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Richard Gillet officiated.

Interment followed the service at Dew Cemetery.

Mr. Steward passed away on Thursday, November 5. He was born on January 5, 1953, to Morris Steward and Eldria Deshotel.

"Doc" loved to play the drums and listen to music. He loved his dog, Sox, his bike and to watch the History and Travel channels. Mr. Steward loved to spend time with his family. He is survived by three children, two daughters, Katrina Fulton of Cedar Park and Sharon Steward of Centerville; one son, Garren Steward of Donie; one sister, Vickie Vaughn of DeQuincy, Louisiana, and one brother Alton Steward of Anahuac; eight grandchildren, Shaine, Rebekka, Roland, Laura, Nick, Eldvea, Chloe and Francis; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Steward was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Steward and Gaerry Steward; Parents, Morris and Eldria Steward; and his son Rhame Steward.
