NEW FAIRFIELD CHURCH of Christ pastor Jason Schick and his wife, Jill, join the church beginning this Sunday, with their three boys. Shick is originally from Fairfield, and is happy to return to the area. At services this weekend, Fairfield Church of Christ will welcome new pastor Jason Schick and his family.

Schick is a native of Fairfield and moved from the area after he received an associate degree in 1990. He met his wife Jill while attending the University of North Texas. The couple left school and moved to Houston, where they stayed for almost 12 years.

Schick says as happy as they were in Houston, there was definitely something absent.

"In 2001, we had the Word of God opened before our eyes."

They were both baptised and became part of a church in Houston, eventually following the Lord's lead to Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where they both enrolled at Heritage Christian University. Shick earned his bachelor's degree in Bible, and the couple had their first child.

After graduation, the couple accepted a ministry position in Marshall, Michigan, where they have been for two and one half years.

They have had two more children, and now have three boys, ages five years, three years, and five months.

Schick is excited to return to Fairfield, and encouraged, he says, "to share the message of love and hope that is only found in our Lord Jesus".

The church is located on Post Oak Road, with morning Bible study beginning at 9:30, and morning worship at 10:30. Members of the community are invited to attend.
