Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Andre Thomas is seeing new patients in Palestine at the Medical Office Building adjacent to Palestine Regional Rehabilitation Hospital.

After a brief career teaching math and science, Dr. Thomas returned to his family's legacy by entering the medical field. His father was a physician and his mother is a nurse in administration with Cook County Hospital in Chicago.

After completing his residency in orthopedic medicine at Howard University, Dr. Thomas took an extra year of training in Orlando, Fla., to earn his sports medicine fellowship. He will treat people of all ages with all types of illness and injury.
