Cross country runners representing the six schools in District 20-AAA come to Fairfield on Tuesday to compete in the district meet.

The event will be held at the cross country course on Post Oak Road behind the baseball complex.

First race, varsity girls, starts at 10 a.m. with other divisions running in order of varsity boys, junior varsity girls and junior varsity boys.

Junior high harriers are scheduled to start their meet at 3:45 p.m.

Varsity girls run a 3,200-meter race and varsity boys run 5,000 meters.

The top three varsity teams and top 10 individuals in each division advance to the region meet Nov. 7 in Humble. The state meet is Nov. 14 at Round Rock.

Last year both Fairfield varsity teams placed second and advanced to the region meet.
