Sheriff's Report Number 454- TPD Travis Martin arrests motorist, Loop 255, Tarrant County Warrants. FPD and Dep. Harrison to report of folks fighting in Love's parking lot. Report comes in of vehicle stopped in driveway, US-84 at FM-1366, occupants exited vehicle, got in beam of headlamps and are dancing, Deputy Harrison to same. WPD Keathley to N. Ave. D, man reporting damaged property.

Deputies Aldrich and McGowan arrest man in Mexia on Assault Warrant. Streetman and Kirvin VFD's to grassfire, North 75. 911 Bounce advises Limestone County has two cows out just past Navasota River. Black Honda Accord reported speeding in Childs Addition, FPD advised. Butler VFD and FEMS to possible stroke, FCR-300. FPD to local motel, customer/management dispute. TPD Martin to N. 6th, stolen laptop. Deputies Elom and Shaw to report of shots fired, FCR-1127.

Deputy Elom to building burglarized, weapons missing, FM-1366. Loose cow, Hwy. 164, Dep. Shaw to same. DPS Davis and Adams jail motorist, 75 and 84, DL Invalid and Teague Traffic Warrants. Doctor Chopper summoned to MotoCross, Wortham area. DPS Putz, THDEMS and Teague VFD to accident, Hwy. 179. Unwanted female visitor at residences on FM-27, Kirvin area, Deputies Robertson and Shipley to same.

GARAGE SALES WERE actually held in garages, or in carports such as this one held by David and Rebecca Henson, to escape wet weather Saturday during the annual city-wide garage sale sponsored by Fairfield chamber of commerce. Problem cows on FM- 3059, Deputies and cowboys trying to catch….. Fourteen picked up, to impound yard. Lady at CEFCO bumming cigarettes, cussing people out, TPD Reed to same. Dew VFD and FEMS to FM-489, Lady fell, hit head, cut leg. Dep. Harrison arrests drunk man walking down shoulder of IH- 45. Window broken, FCR- 1022. DPS Adams jails motorist, US-84, Dallas County Warrant.

THDEMS to possible stroke on Washington. FEMS to FCR-233, man lethargic, disoriented. Dep. Elom to loose cattle, FCR-640. Dep. Robertson to/from Henderson County, prisoner transport. FEMS to N. Bateman, possible over-medication. Call comes in to Dispatch, someone enroute with 13 year old possibly bitten by snake…..Come ahead, we'll call the ER, let 'em know. Dep. Shipley on report of trailer stolen from under carport, Freestone, overnight. DPS Purnell to accident, Kirvin.

Loose cow, Mile 192, Service Road, Dep. Diana Willis to same.

TPD Cox to N. 10th, husband throwing stuff all over house, does it all the time, she's trying to take baby to doctor. Suspicious vehicle reported at Dew School, Dep. Shipley contacts owner, cleared up same. THDEMS to Club Lake Road, fever and fatigue. Dep. Aldrich to FM- 833, neighbor troubles, throwing stuff on her roof. FEMS and Southern Oaks VFD to Chelsea, asthmatic problems.

Had a short, but always good visit with former Deputy Bill Pulin. A wonderful personality, ever the gentleman. Ambulance needed Oakwood, Leon Co SO advised. FPD to disruptive customers at Ponte's. FPD to report of broken car mirrors at local eatery. FEMS to chest pains on Sherwood. 911 Bounce from Jewett, caller threatening suicide, hooked caller up with Suicide Hotline. Butler VFD to report of smoking roof at neighbor's place, FM-489. FPD to Unwanted Person, Eastridge Apts. DPS Putz and Dep. Aldrich to truck/tree collision, driver vamoosed, FCR- 441. Tractor removed from owner's property, carried to Leon County, without owner's knowledge, FCR-321.

Loud music on Adams Street, TPD Martin to same. Cows out, FCR-790, US-84, East of Fairfield, FM-27 and others. THDEMS and TPD Martin to Maple, troubles with too many pills, plus an assault. More troubles on Main, TPD and Deputies to another assault, one brother assaulting his brother plus their mother. 911 Bounce advises of Burglary across the River, Anderson County SO advised. Loose three year old, unattended, standing in middle of FM-27. A Good Samaritan stopped, walked him to a house, WPD Carter to same. Ceiling fixture goes crazy in Courthouse, electrical problem.

Deputy Rick Howerton jails man on Probation Warrant. FPD Kindon arrests motorists on Dallas County Probation Warrant and unpaid City Warrant. Deputies to FCR-481, Lady just spotted man beside her house, pistol in hand. Lady on Childs reports strange occurrence….. smoke curling up out of her drain pipes! Now folks, this just don't happen every day….smoke coming from inside those wet, oozy, drain pipes. Heck, there shouldn't be anything in those things capable of burning…..But the City Worker came up with the answer…..The City Workers were smoke testing the sewers on and along Childs.

Butler and Fairfield VFD's to trash burning that got out of hand, FCR-301. Red truck reported pulled out of IH-45 motel, driving long ways down wrong side of road…..Probably someone from a large town where the Service Roads are nearly always one way on each side of the Interstate. Here's a good tip; If the Center Stripe is white, it is one way traffic only. If yellow, it's always two way. That's good info to remember.

Pan Handler call comes in from Sam's Drive In, trying to get gas money, FPD advised. FEMS to young man with some type of allergic reaction, blacking out. TPD to N. 7th, pickup constantly driving by residence, calling occupant names. TPD Martin to S. 11th, verbal troubles between man and woman. FEMS to Keechi, 96 year old fell, possibly broke leg. Dep. Diana Willis to report of starving horse, one of many, all others well fed, probably just a very old horse. We're all just as daffy over old horses as we are old dogs….." Oh, we just hate to put him down. That's the first and only horse our Betsy had during her childhood. Betsy was two when we got him, and last year we took pictures of Betsy's twins on the same horse." Dogs are the same way. We humans just get attached to certain species of critters. If they carry us well, we have difficulty letting go. Am I saying this is wrong? Nope, I'm a little that way myself.

Loose cattle, Hwy 14, Wortham. Lady visitor to visit another at Nursing Home, locks keys in car. She really needs to get in the car, not so much for the keys right now, but to get one of her Nitro Tablets which she feels is more needed at this particular moment! Dep. Donnie Anderson to same, called back later to commend "the nice young man." He did get into it. Inmate to ER, fell out of Jail bed, bleeding heavy.

DPS Adams Jails IH-45 DWI, Purnell in with a Hot Checker off US-84, and FPD Tiner jails passenger off Greyhound Bus, very drunk. Dew VFD and FEMS to FM- 489, Lady in severe pain. Two calls come in from IH-45, someone standing up through the sunroof of a PT Cruiser, pointing green laser light at other drivers. DPS Adams and Deputies Robertson and Aultman to smoking 18- Wheeler, Mile 183, Buffalo VFD also to same. Driver fled afoot, caught by Buffalo PD. FPD Albert Gallegos assists Lady on Anderson with a little help arising following a tumble.

Pit Bull Troubles, Southside Shores. Transformer arcing and sputtering, North 75. Loose cattle, FM-27. Deputies Robert Willis and Casey stop vehicle, Hwy. 164…..To Jail, one for Marijuana, Dangerous Drugs and Failure To Identify, the other for Drug Paraphernalia and Controlled Substance. FEMS to breathing troubles on Williford. FPD to Church Street, Boyfriend struck Girlfriend. TPD Reed to report of Family Disturbance, knife involved, suspect fled, Interpreter needed. Potential Witness in Court Case being threatened, TPD Noll to same.

Man in maroon pickup reported selling meat for two dollars per pound, FCR-261. FEMS to blood sugar problems, S. Bateman. Weekend rain puts a damper on Car Show and Community Garage Sale. None complained too much, though….Too badly needed. Had a few reports of vehicles hydroplaning. Haven't seen those in too long.

To Open House for new County Annex in Teague with many others also attending. Cookies, sandwiches, snacks, cold drinks, very well managed affair. THDEMS to possible stroke, FCR-1235. 911 Bounce advises of house on fire, Mexia. Dep. Robertson to/from Dallas County, prisoner transport. Loose red bull back behind fence, FM-1848. Mailbox assaulted by ball bat, Old Airport Road, TPD Noll to same.

Vehicle hung in cables, Mile 209, DPS Adams to same. Another at Mile 185. FEMS to St. Elmo, man hit on nose with pipe, bleeding bad.

That about wraps up another week. We ended the last with rain and started the next with the same. The folks southwest of us got more than us and they were in terrible need. This should kick off a great week for all.
