Beef, forage program set for Sept. 15
Texas Agrilife Extension Service of Freestone County will host a beef and forage management program Sept. 15 at the Freestone County Farm Bureau office in Fairfield.
Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. and a meal will be served at 6 p.m. with the program to follow.
Program topics include a discussion over recent research results in weed and brush control, a sprayer calibration demonstration, and an introduction to one of the cow-calf producer's most essential tools, "Cowculator".
Two (2) CEU's will be offered for those producers who have a TDA issued pesticide applicators license.
Anyone planning to attend is asked to pre-register for the program by calling the extension office in Fairfield by Thursday, Sept. 10.
There is a $10 charge for each program participant.
