(A summary of recent activity of Fairfield Police Department.)

July 13

2:20 a.m.—Officer Kindon dispatched to Daniel's Exxon in reference to a woman possibly being forced into a vehicle. Officer Kindon advised that two women were taking a break from driving and were trying to keep their dogs in the vehicle.

10:35 a.m.—Cpl. Green dispatched to Sunset Drive in reference to a civil matter involving a private company that trims trees off of the power lines.

11:35 a.m.—Cpl. Green and Officer Irion, along with Sgt. Warren, assisted an elderly man that was in possession of a loaded pistol. The pistol was secured and the elderly man was taken into custody for a mental evaluation.

11 p.m.—Officer Gallegos assisted a subject that had fallen on the ground and could not get up without assistance.

July 14

1:45 a.m.—Officer Gallegos dispatched to Reunion Street and Bateman Road in reference to a suspicious person. Officer Gallegos unable to locate.

7:35 a.m.—Cpl. Green dispatched to the Talford Apartments in reference to a stolen vehicle.

1:15 p.m.—Officer Tiner assisted medics at Sam's Restaurant.

2:35 p.m.—Cpl. Green responded to a possible disturbance at McDonald's restaurant. Cpl. Green advised that it was a verbal disagreement and all parties were released.

5:45 p.m.—Officer Irion responded to Love's Travel Center in reference to traffic problems.

6:15 p.m.—Officer Gallegos assisted a mother out of Palestine in reference to a welfare concern.

9:10 p.m.—Officers responded to a verbal altercation between brothers. Brothers separated for the night to cool off.

July 15

1 a.m.—Officers responded to a possible intruder. Officers reported that after a foot search of the area nobody was located and they cleared the scene with extra patrol.

12:15 p.m.—Officer Kindon and Sgt. Warren dispatched to a disturbance located on Oak Street.

2:30 p.m.—Officer Kindon and Sgt. Warren responded to a family disturbance and after gathering all the facts one subject was arrested on a charge of interfering with a 9-1-1 call.

6:30 p.m.—Cpl. Bass met with a complainant in reference to telephone harassment.

July 16

5:05 a.m.—Officer Gasaway located a child that had been reported as a runaway.

10 a.m.—Officer Kindon assisted other agencies in an attempt to locate a stolen vehicle traveling southbound on I-45.

3:40 p.m.—Officer Kindon to welfare concern on Hall Street.

8:30 p.m.—Cpl. Bass dispatched to I-45 cafe in reference to a fight.

July 17

12:42 a.m.—Cpl. Bass assisted with debris on I-45 that was causing a traffic hazard.

4:10 a.m.—Cpl. Bass assisted medics at East Texas Medical Center emergency room.

9:50 a.m.—Officer Irion met with a complainant at Love's in reference to a civil matter.

6 p.m.—Officer Tiner met with a manager at Love's in reference to theft.

7:45 p.m.—Cpl. Green dispatched to Angel Oaks in reference to a snake.

July 18

12:15 a.m.—Officer Tiner assisted another agency with warrants out of the City of Fairfield.

8:05 a.m.—Officers Gallegos and Irion responded to a family violence call where two suspects were arrested on assault charges.

9:10 a.m.—Officer Irion took a report of a possible burglary.

1:15 p.m.—Officers responded to a possible theft that occurred at a nursing home.

6:10 p.m.—Officer Tiner dispatched to Hawk Electronics in reference to an alarm.

7:40 p.m.—Sgt. Warren assisted a stranded motorist at Love's.

July 19

10:10 a.m.—Officers Irion and Gallegos and Sgt. Warren assisted family members with a mental subject that was not in control and wanting to assault everybody and anybody. Subject was detained and evaluated by ETMC doctor who determined the need for psychiatric care.
