BRANDI COTTON AND JESSE FUENTES Rodger and Betty Cotton of Mexia announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Brandi Jean Cotton to Jesse James Fuentes of Fairfield.

Fuentes is the son of Raymond and Justine Fuentes of Fairfield. He is the grandson of Margarita Gallegos and the late Donaciano Gallegos, and Consuela Cochran and the late Alejandro Fuentes.

A 1998 graduate of Fairfield high school, Fuentes attended Navarro College and is employed with Atmos Energy in Corsicana.

Miss Cotton is the granddaughter of Hazel Robinson and the late Edward Robinson, and Mildred Cotton Monk and husband Claude Monk, and the late Woodrow Cotton.

She is a 2001 graduate of Mexia high school and a graduate of Texas A&M University in 2006 and 2008 with two agricultural degrees and a teaching certificate. Miss Cotton is employed with Mexia Independent School District as a sixth grade science teacher.

The couple is planning an Oct. 10 wedding at the Emmons Ranch in Streetman. Afterward, they will make their home in Freestone county.
