Grand jury hears criminal charges
Freestone county grand jurors heard information in felony criminal cases and returned indictments in 19 cases at their May session.
The grand jury convened Wednesday, May 27, at the courthouse in Fairfield.
Charges on which action was taken include possession of methamphetamine, evading arrest, possession of oxycodone, driving while intoxicated, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, manufacture or delivery of methamphetamine, burglary, theft and forgery.
Indicted by the grand jury are:
—William Karpiak, Jr., 31, of Donie on a March 24 charge of possession of methamphetamine.
—Vickie Lane Thompson, 44, of Fairrield on a March 24 charge of possession of methamphetamine.
—Jon Jason Jones, 37, of Glen Rose on a complaint of evading arrest or detention on Dec. 3, 2008.
—Miguel Contreras- Palacios, also known as Miguel Contreras, 35, of Mexia on an April 29 complaint of possession of oxycodone.
—Adriana Alejandra Saenz-Oliveras, 23, of Fairfield on a charge of DWI with a child passenger on April 19.
—Charles Edward Griffin, 20, of Fairfield on an April 29 charge of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, a driver's license and Social Security card of Shane Blanchard.
—Charles Edward Griffin, 20, of Fairfield on an April 29 charge of forgery, allegedly passing a $328.39 check at Dollar General store on a bank account of Shane Blanchard.
—Dustin Lee Williams, 18, of Donie on a complaint of manufacture or delivery of methamphetamine on April 8.
—Keenan Wayne Lilley, 43, of Buffalo on an April 25 complaint of burglary of a habitation of Dale William Latham.
—Keenan Wayne Lilley, 43, of Buffalo on an April 25 complaint of burglary of a habitation of Thomas Sheldon.
—John Glen Chapman, 22, of Teague on a charge of burglary of a building of Benjamin Neeley on May 6.
—Robert Carter James, 37, of Jacksonville on a complaint of theft of $1,500 but less than $20,000, equipment of Al Gibson, on May 5.
—Darwin Demond Lewis, also known as Darwyn Demond Lewis, 32, of Plano on a May 10 complaint of evading arrest or detention in a motor vehicle.
—Keenan Wayne Lilley, 43, of Buffalo on a charge of forgery by passing, a $75 check on a bank account of Thomas Sheldon on April 8.
—Keenan Wayne Lilley, 43, of Buffalo on a charge of forgery by passing, a $75 check on a bank account of Thomas Sheldon on April 10.

Three indictments remain sealed pending arrest of defendants.
