D. Witt Mims

D. WITT "BUBBOY" MIMS D. WITT "BUBBOY" MIMS Funeral services were held Saturday for D. Witt "Bubboy" Mims, 86, who died Tuesday, May 19, at the Teague Nursing Home.

Mr. Mims was born in Freestone county on June 26, 1922.

He served in the United States Navy and worked for Burlington Northern Railroad and the Mexia State School.

Mr. Mims was a member of St. Paul Church of God In Christ in Teague.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, at Teague's St. Paul Church of God In Christ with Elder Vernon Jessie officiating.

Burial followed at Avant Cemetery in Teague.

Mr. Mims is survived by his son, Harvey Ray Mims of Dallas; grandchildren, Ryan O'Neil Mims of Palestine, James Steven and Ester Jo Mims, both of Palestine, Melvin and Sherry Mims, both of Teague, Tanasha Mims and Earlene Mims, both of Mexia, Harvey D. Mims and Alex X. Mims, of Dallas; and very special friend, Billy Ray Carter of Teague.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Mims; daughter, Marie Mims; and son, Wilbert Ray Mims.

Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Moore's Angelic Funeral Home in Teague.
